Description

Microbial processes comprise the decomposition and the production of organic molecules with different electron donors, energy sources and electron acceptors. Organic carbon, including methane, and reduced inorganic molecules, including hydrogen, are possible electron donors and energy sources for microbial processes in the geosphere.
