Description of FEP Effects
During resaturation, local groundwater flow directions and rates around the GDF may differ from long-term regional patterns of flow. Also, capillarity – a phenomenon associated with surface tension at the surface of a liquid in contact with a solid – could provide a mechanism for water to move through unsaturated zones of the EBS.
