Fluvial incision (change in style from meandering to braided) followed by rapid accumulation in newly formed river valley; baseline for fluvial activity lowered below sea level; increased denudation. Infiltration rates lower, less aquifer recharge, drop of hydraulic heads, increased frost penetration, change in pore water chemistry.
