Description of FEP Effects
Any pathways such as fractures or discontinuities in the EBS may result in advective processes taking place. Advection generally means solutes are transported faster through the EBS compared to diffusion processes. Note: advection is considered to be a small component of the solute transport in the host rock as diffusion dominates.
