Description

Retrievability is the capability to partially or completely remove any waste emplaced in a repository. Before repository closure the wastes can be easily retrieved. After closure retrieval is possible in principal by means of mining techniques, but at significantly higher effort. Impacts of retrieval on safety are considered to be outside of the scope of the assessment, and are thus not considered further.
