Description
Sorption properties not only depend on the radioelement and mineral composition, but also on the porewater composition. The most relevant properties of the porewater are pH, inorganic carbon content (carbonato complexes), redox potential and salinity. The groundwater composition also affects the evolution of the engineered barrier system.
