Description

The hydraulic gradient at the concrete-HR interface depends on: the magnitude and direction of the regional hydraulic gradient; anomalous pore pressures within the Opalinus Clay; the distribution of hydraulic conductivity within and around the repository tunnels; and processes occurring within the repository that affect pore pressure, including tunnel convergence and gas generation.
