3. DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM OR FUNCTION

Shielder calculates gamma shielding of any radionuclide emitting photons between  0.5 to 10 MeV.

Shielder assumes the radionuclides as a point source and uses Taylor's build up formula to calculate shielding.

5. RESTRICTIONS ON THE COMPLEXITY OF THE PROBLEM

Shielder works in the energy range of 0.5 to 10 MeV. Suitable for radionuclides/sources of smaller dimensions.

6. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME

The running time of the Shielder program is 10 to 20 seconds depending upon the speed of computer and attenuation required.
