As usual for OECD/NEA workshops, participation is open to experts from FCF operating organisations, regulatory authorities and their technical support organisations, FCF designers and vendors, and industry associations and observers from OECD NEA member countries.
The meeting is open to a small number of experts from non-OECD member countries. The participation of these experts will be arranged by the NEA Secretariat.
The WGFCS members are informed that the WGFCS meeting will precede the Workshop in the same place on 26 September 2011.
All presentations and discussions will be in English, and good command of the English language will be necessary to fully benefit from the workshop.
There were 31 full papers accepted into the Workshop. The workshop program preparation has been going on.
Full papers not longer than 12 pages should be submitted no later than 15 July 2011.
Presentations of the papers should not exceed 20 minutes and should be sent electronically no later than 31 August 2011.
The Workshop has organized a day trip to a fuel cycle facility (Cameco Corporation’s Conversion Facility) located in Port Hope, about one hour away from Toronto. Transportation to and from the venue will be included as part of the Workshop registration.
All workshop participants who intend to visit the facility will need to provide a government issued photo identification at the time of the visit.
Proceedings from the workshop will be published, and will include papers from the Opening Session, conclusions and recommendations from the discussion groups, summary of panel discussions, and information papers submitted by participants to the workshop.
Some of the workshop participants may need to obtain a valid Canadian visa before arriving. Please ensure that the visa requirements are fully satisfied. The following web page provides further details on Canadian visa requirements for visitors.
