3. DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM OR FUNCTION

C-Shielder calculates shielding from any photon emitting radionuclide between  0.5 to 10 MeV by different types of concretes  (Ordinary, Barytes, Magnetite, Ferrophosphorus).

4. METHODS

C-Shielder assumes the radionuclide(s) as a point source and uses Taylor's build up formula to calculate shielding.

5. RESTRICTIONS ON THE COMPLEXITY OF THE PROBLEM

- C-Shielder works in the photon energy range of 0.5 to 10 MeV.
- Suitable for radionuclides/sources of small dimensions.

6. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME

The running time of the C-Shielder program is 15 to 30 seconds, depending upon the speed of computer, type of concrete and attenuation required.
