3. DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM OR FUNCTION

A computer program for mixed core TRIGA Reactor pulse calculations (maximum temperature, prompt energy, peak power).

4. METHOD OF SOLUTION

Pulse is calculated in adiabatic Fuchs-Hansen approximation. Temperature and burn-up dependence of fuel temperature reactivity coefficient and heat capacity is considered.

5. RESTRICTIONS ON THE COMPLEXITY OF THE PROBLEM

The code is provided with data base for four different TRIGA fuel types:
- STANDARD (20% enrichment, 8.5 W/O of U)
- STANDARD (20% enrichment, 12. W/O of U)
- FLIP     (70% enrichment, 8.5 W/O of U)
- LEU      (20% enrichment, 20. W/O of U)
and two types of reflector:  WATER and GRAPHITE.

6. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME:  Few seconds on IBM/PC-AT Compatible Computer.

NEA-DB executed the test case included in this package  on a PC/80486 in 2 seconds and on a DEC/VAX-6000 computer in 2.7 seconds.
