2nd Announcement, April 2006

The first workshop on nuclear data evaluation for reactor applications (WONDER2006) will be held at the Chateau de Cadarache, on 9-11 October 2006.

The main objective of the workshop is to review the current modelling and evaluation methods of nuclear data at low energy (thermal and resonance range) and to discuss the possible areas of improvements.

The workshop will cover the following topics:

  • nuclear data measurements in the thermal and resonance ranges;
  • theory, modelling and evaluation of nuclear data in the thermal, resolved and unresolved resonance ranges;
  • evaluation of cross-section uncertainties and covariance matrices;
  • ENDF format and processing issues;
  • status and development of evaluation codes in the resonance range.

Special emphasis will be placed on new ideas and perspectives.

It is planned to have sessions with presentations of about 20 minutes (and 5 minutes for discussions) and space for posters during the workshop.
