Workshop on Advanced Reactors With Innovative Fuels

PAPERS

Invited experts introduced, chaired and summarised each of the sessions. 

Contributed papers were selected in consultation with the members of the Scientific Advisory Committee. The presentation time was 30 minutes, including 10 minutes of discussion. 

PROCEEDINGS

Proceedings will  be compiled and edited by the NEA Secretariat and will be available bu the end of 2005. Participants will also receive a  CD-ROM edition.  The material used for making the presentations will also be made available on CD-ROM to participants.

CONFERENCE FEE, DINNER AND LUNCHES
 
The conference fee was of 170 US dollars and covered the morning coffee and continental breakfasts, the beverages at the breaks, luncheons catered at the meeting location,  and other costs for infrastructure.  ORNL/UT-Battelle has hosted the reception on Thursday evening.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION AND TRANSPORT

Accommodation had been made  available at the Double Tree Hotel in Oak Ridge at a room rate of $60/night. by ORNL.

The hotel is at a 30 minutes drive from the Knoxville airport.

WORKSHOP LOCATION - POLLARD AUDITORIUM 

The workshop was held at the Pollard Auditorium of the Oak Ridge Associated Universities (map and instructions for reaching the meeting place) (workshop site overview), which is adjacent to the Double Tree hotel.  A 300 seat auditorium is available for opening and closing sessions and three 60 seat meeting rooms for the parallel technical sessions.

OTHER ATTRACTIONS 

Among the big attractions not far from Oak Ridge you can find the the Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg, the  American Museum of Science and Energy, just to name a few.  

PARTICIPATION

The workshop was attended by 50 participants from 11 countries.
