Classic stress analysis program for axisymmetric or plane geometric structures.

4. METHOD OF SOLUTION

The finite element method is used. Input are the finite element nodes, the imposed displacements, the applied forces  at the nodes and the volumetric distributed forces. The linear equation system is solved by the  Cholesky method.

Sample problem: 347 nodes, 607 elements, bandwidth 34, axisymmetric geometry. The execution of the sample problem took  1.75 secs of CPU time on CDC7600.
