3. NATURE OF PHYSICAL PROBLEM SOLVED

ESDORA estimates the damage produced by the continous or instantaneous escape of fission products into the atmosphere. ESDORA neglects neutron absorption, but considers neutrons only to calculate the poisoning function.

4. METHOD OF SOLUTION

A coupled system of ordinary differential equations determines the build up and decay of the active nuclides. The atmospheric diffusion and the dry fallout are given by analytic formulae.
