21-22 March	International Conference on "Nuclear Power for the 21st Century"
	This conference will provide a platform for discussion of the future role of nuclear energy. The objective of the conference is to review the role of nuclear power and to define the potential benefits (energy security, sustainability and improved environmental protection) that expanding nuclear power offers to meet the increasing energy needs of the world. Senior government ministers will present their national views on the need for and future of nuclear power.

18-22 April	American Nuclear Society International Conference "Monte Carlo 2005" – Advanced Monte Carlo for Radiation Physics, Particle Transport Simulation and Applications

24 May	Security of Energy Supply for Electricity Generation
	The International Energy Agency and the NEA are jointly organising a workshop to identify and discuss the concept of security of energy supply in the power sector, the implications for technology choices and the role of governments in addressing the related issues, particularly in the context of liberalised electricity markets.

12-15 September	International Topical Meeting on Probabilistic Safety Analysis, PSA’05
	The 2005 ANS International Topical Meeting on Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA’05) is a major meeting for discussing PSA issues, including methods, applications, and risk-informed regulation for advanced reactors and other nuclear installations. The meeting will not be limited to nuclear applications since the technology developed by the nuclear industry has spread far beyond that limited application.
