The Shielding Integral Benchmark Archive and Database (SINBAD) contains compilations for experiments related to reactor, fusion, and accelerator shielding experiments. SINBAD Version 2 corresponds to the state-of-the-art and current development version of the SINBAD database. The database is continuously expanded and includes over 100 shielding benchmarks and numerical intercomparisons.
The work on SINBAD is jointly carried out by the United States’ Radiation Safety Information Computational Center (RSICC) and the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA). At the NEA the Expert Group on Physics of Reactor Systems (EGPRS) is mandated to monitor gaps and steer the development of SINBAD in collaboration with RSICC. The development itself is managed by the EGPRS SINBAD Task Force, and has been supported by numerous international institutions. A full list of contributing institutions is available on the NEA SINBAD GitLab system (access available after signature of license agreements).
