3. DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM OR FUNCTION

AT123D estimates time-dependent waste transport in a groundwater system in one, two, and/or three dimensions. Combinations of the following options may be specified:  (1) Types of waste:
    - radioactive waste
    - chemicals
    - heat
(2) Eight types of source configurations
(3) Kinds of source releases:
    - instaneous release
    - continuous release
    - finite duration release
(4) Variation of the aquifer dimensions:
    - finite depth and finite width
    - finite depth and infinite width
    - infinite depth and finite width
    - infinite depth and infinite width
(5) Mechanism of transport:
    - advection
    - hydrodynamic dispersion
    - adsorption
    - decay/degeneration
    - waste losses to the atmosphere
(6) Boundary condition:
    - Dirichlet
    - Neumann
    - mixed type
    - radiation boundaries.
