P(ND)2-2 – Second International Workshop on Perspectives on Nuclear Data for the Next Decade

Location and access

The P(ND)2-2 workshop took place close to the DIF research centre of the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) in Bruyères-le-Châtel, 40 km south of Paris (see access map to CEA DIF). The workshop took place in the TGCC building.

For participants staying at the Mercure Hotel in Massy, free transportation was available from the hotel to the centre and back. The departure from the hotel was at 8:30 and the return to the hotel around 18:30. Participants staying in Paris were advised to take RER B or C to the Massy RER station and meet at the Mercure Hotel around 8:20.

As DIF is a research centre, some security access restrictions applied:

  • A valid passport or ID was required to enter (not to be left at the hotel).
  • Non-DIF personnel had to be escorted.
  • Cameras were not allowed.
  • Luggage could not be taken into the centre. Due to an anti-terrorist decision, they could not be left at the gate. Participants were asked to leave luggage at the hotel.

Non-French nationals were required to request permission to enter DIF at least five weeks before the workshop. Applications had to include the following information:

  • first name;
  • last name;
  • date and place of birth;
  • home address;
  • work address;
  • nationality;
  • scan of passport.

French nationals were required to request permission to enter DIF at least one week before the workshop. Applications had to include the following information:

  • first name;
  • last name;
  • date and place of birth;
  • home address;
  • work address.
