NEA-2023-0036

Mr Paul Bowden, Honorary Professor of Law at the Nottingham Law School, led the 2023 cohort of participants to the Nuclear Energy Agency's International Nuclear Law Essentials at the OECD in Paris.

The 2023 session of the NEA’s International Nuclear Law Essentials (INLE) course brought together 45 professionals from 20 countries to learn about the global nuclear law framework and major issues affecting the peaceful uses of nuclear energy.

This year’s event, held from 27 February to 3 March at the OECD Conference Centre in Paris, marked the tenth anniversary of the programme, which started in 2011, and was the first to be held since the 2020 edition before the pandemic.

15 renowned specialists in nuclear law from international organisations, government, academia and private industry delivered the INLE’s intensive programme, which consisted of a series of lectures, case studies and panel discussions.
