Due to the highly competitive nature of the ISNL selection process, applicants are strongly encouraged to submit the best possible application. Application forms must be completed in English. Please attach a digital passport-type photograph to your e-mail application. While a current resume or CV may be provided with your application, you are advised to submit all necessary information in the application form. Be aware that no additional documentation will be considered in the selection process.
Both professionals and graduate students will be considered for admission. Applicants do not need to come from the NEA member countries. Applicants must have an undergraduate university degree in a relevant discipline. Advanced graduate-level education and/or significant professional work experience are also important factors in the application process. Although course presentations and discussions focus on legal issues, a legal education is not required to participate in the ISNL.
Participants must hold insurance to cover accidents, hospitalisation or repatriation.
The 2023 ISNL will be limited to approximately 60 participants. Participants will be selected based on a number of factors that aim at a diverse representation of nationality, gender, professional experience, and academic background, among other factors.

To qualify as a student you must be enrolled in a degree-granting programme at the start of ISNL and you must not be engaged in full-time employment. You may be asked to provide documentation of your student status.

Successful applicants will receive additional course information as well as bank payment details in late spring 2023.
The registration fee is not subject to French taxes of any kind.
Costs associated with travel, accommodation, subsistence expenses (including meals), insurance and any other miscellaneous items are not covered by the registration fee and shall be borne exclusively by the participant.
The registration fee must be paid by bank transfer only and in full at least four weeks prior to the start of the course. Course participation is confirmed only upon receipt by the NEA of a proof of payment in full of the registration fee.
Two different types of grants and financial support opportunities are available to interested and qualified applicants.
ISNL participants have the possibility to apply for a University Diploma (Diplôme d'université - D.U.) in International Nuclear Law from the University of Montpellier. There are no additional fees to apply for or receive the diploma. You will be asked if you wish to apply at the end of the ISNL programme (there is no need to register for it in advance).
The ISNL will take place on the campus of the University of Montpellier located in Montpellier, France.
All course instruction and discussion will take place in English; all course materials will be provided in English. Simultaneous interpretation will not be available during the course.
Local accommodation information, including options for student housing, will be distributed to participants upon their acceptance into the course.
The dress code during the classes is informal; participants may dress casually.
