Analysis of Information from Reactor Building and Containment Vessel and Water Sampling in Fukushima Daiichi NPS (ARC-F) project
Ongoing
Joint project

The ARC-F project consolidates participant and expert observations which contribute to a deeper understanding of severe accident progression and the status of reactors and containment vessels at the Fukushima Daiichi NPS. Additionally, the project aims to establish an information sharing framework in reactor safety between Japan and international experts.

In order to achieve these objectives, the project will focus on 3 tasks:

  1. refine analysis for accident scenarios and associated fission-product transport and dispersion
  2. compile and manage data on the Fukushima Daiichi NPS accident
  3. discuss future long-term projects relevant to the Fukushima Daiichi NPS accident.
