The Nuclear Data Service of the Data Bank supports the development, compilation, testing, verification and dissemination of experimental and evaluated nuclear data, and develops in-house analysis and data visualisation tools.
Our activities include the co-ordination of the Joint Evaluated Fission and Fusion (JEFF) nuclear data library, the design and implementation of verification and validation (V&V) sequences for evaluated neutron data and the compilation of experimental nuclear reaction data from Data Bank member countries for the international experimental nuclear reaction database EXFOR.
The Nuclear Data Service of the Data Bank is also responsible for the co-ordination of the JANIS nuclear data tool development and the organisation of bi-annual gatherings around nuclear data topics, the NEA nuclear data weeks.

The Data Bank is responsible, through its Nuclear Data Service, for the compilation into the EXFOR database, of experimental nuclear reaction data coming from Data Bank member countries, as a founding member of the International Network of Nuclear Reaction Data Centres (NRDC).
The Joint Evaluated Fission and Fusion (JEFF) Nuclear Data Library is a collaboration between NEA Data Bank member countries. The JEFF library combines the efforts of its different Working Groups to produce sets of evaluated nuclear data, for fission and fusion applications.
