This Joint Strategic Plan for the Committee on Nuclear Regulatory Activities (CNRA) and the Committee on the Safety of Nuclear Installations (CSNI) takes into account the evolving statut of the nuclear industry worldwide and the main challenges that will face the regulatory bodies, technical safety ortganisations, and the scientific community over the next six years (2011-2016).
The objectives of this Joint Stratefic Plans are to:
ensure alignment of the Committees' Plan with the NEA Strategic Plan;
define the Committees' mission and main challenges for nuclear safety in the next five years and ouytline the focus areas to properly respond to those challenges, and
identify the roles, responsabilities, and coordination of the Committees.
