The NEA has launched a survey to collect information on the practical applications and interpretations of radiological protection recommendations of the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP).

More specifically, the survey aims to understand how these recommendations are applied, interpreted and perceived in different national, operational and scientific contexts. The results will help identify current practices, challenges and opportunities for strengthening environmental radiological protection.

Participation in the survey is entirely voluntary and has been designed to take approximately 30 minutes.

The survey deadline is 8 May 2026.

Detailed information, practical guidance and data protection provisions are provided in the downloadable background information document. A PDF copy of the survey has been provided for reference.

A workshop will be planned in 2027 to discuss the results and provisional analysis of the survey. The survey has been developed by the NEA Expert Group on Radiological Protection of the Environment (EGRPE).
