The Expert Group on the Emergency Preparedness for Small Modular Reactors (EGEPSMR) developed a survey to collect information on whether the implementation of existing emergency preparedness and response (EPR) requirements adequately cover small modular reactors (SMRs) and for the identification and implementation of a graded approach on protection strategies for emergencies. The survey data will be assessed by SMR technology to identify EPR aspects that can be considered in the SMR design phase.
The purpose of the webinar was to share the launch of the survey with potential participants and interested parties and provide a background to the expert group and survey, followed by how the results will be disseminated in a future workshop.
