NEST Awards 2025
NEA's Nuclear Education, Skills and Technology (NEST) Awards

The NEST Awards aims to recognise NEST Fellows who have demonstrated excellence throughout their fellowships. Fellows have the chance to compete for prizes through showcasing their work and presenting original ideas and solutions to the challenges facing nuclear energy today.

2025 Programme

Current and past NEST Fellows were invited to submit a written application. A panel of experts (the NEST Jury) selected 15 NEST Fellows to travel to Paris for two days to attend site visits and the NEST Awards. Of those Fellows, 8 were selected to give presentations and compete for prizes at the Awards.

Day one (5 November) involved site visits to the Curie Museum and the World Nuclear Exhibition. This gave Fellows the opportunity to network with industry leaders, explore cutting-edge technologies, access career and internship prospects, and engage in global discussions on the future of nuclear energy.

On day two (6 November) the competition was held at the Nuclear Energy Agency headquarters. 8 NEST Fellows presented on their Fellowships, with the NEST Jury awarding 4 cash prizes to the best presentations. The event concluded with a networking reception.

The next edition of the NEST Awards will take place in 2027, giving more Fellows the opportunity to showcase their professional development, achievements and accomplishments. For further information on this event, please contact the NEST Secretariat at nest@oecd-nea.org
