This COP28 was a historic event for nuclear energy when it was formally specified as one of the solutions to climate change. 

The new NEA initiative was announced at the 28th meeting of the Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28). 

Declaration draws on NEA analysis which shows that that tripling nuclear energy capacity by 2050 provides the world with a realistic and practical path to meet net zero carbon emissions goals.
