Between 2026 and 2028, Cernavoda NPP unit 1 will be shut down for a period of approximately 2 years in order to allow the continuation of operation for another 30-year life cycle.
Starting around 2022, the construction of units 3 and 4 of Cernavoda NPP will begin, with a completion deadline set for 2028.
