The Measurements Were Made at Least 20 Days After Irradiation to Avoid Interference from the 97 KeV Photons of Au-198-M. The Mean Chemical Yield was 50%. DETECTOR (GELI) SAMPLE Target Consisting of a Uniform Mixture of Hg-Oxide Enriched in Hg-202 and of Spectroscopically Pure Cu-Oxide. Hg-Oxide Contained 91.14% Hg-202, 5.9 Hg-201, Less Than 1% of Each of the Remaining Four Hg-Isotopes and Less Than 0.01% Chemical Impurity of Interfering Elements. The Target Mixture was Contained In a Thin Walled Al-Tube MONITOR 1(29-CU-63(P,N)30-ZN-63,,SIG,,,EXP) 2(29-CU-65(P,X)29-CU-64,IND,SIG,,,EXP) MONIT-REF 1(B0057002,R.COLLE+,J,PR/C,9,1819,1974) 2(B0023002,D.A.NEWTON+,J,JIN,35,361,1973) DECAY-MON 1(30-ZN-63,38.8MIN,DG,670.,0.0847) 2(29-CU-64,12.82HR,AR,511.,0.386) CORRECTION Disintegration Rates were Corrected For Decay, Counter Efficiency, Absorption, Photon Abundance and Chemical Yield. The Photon Abundances in the Decay Data are Corrected For Internal Conversion. ERR-ANALYS (ERR-T) The Errors Given Include Uncertainties Associated with Decay Curve Analysis, Detector Efficiencies, Uncertainties in Decay Schemes and Chemical Yields. The Beam Energy Given is the Nominal Average Energy at a Given Cyclotron Radius, Estimated To have an Uncertainty of +-2 MeV, Corrected For Energy Loss in the Thin Target. ADD-RES The Main Goal of this Work was to Study Alpha-Particle Emission from Definite Reactions. Thus, a Method is Described For Decomposing the Measured (P,2PXN) Excitation Functions Into the Alpha- And Two-Proton Component. Excitation Energy Spectra For Alpha-Emission Events are Derived.
