3. DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM OR FUNCTION

CREEP80 is a finite element program for the analysis of creep effects in concrete structures. The creep law is linear, aging is accounted for, and temperature effects on the creep rate, as well as the rate of aging, are considered. Material properties can be specified either as empirical creep test data or as the double power law for creep. The program can automatically set up the creep parameters from partial empirical information.

4. METHOD OF SOLUTION

The program uses a rate-type creep law based on expanding the relaxation function in Dirichlet series.

5. RESTRICTIONS ON THE COMPLEXITY OF THE PROBLEM

The program is intended for use with nuclear axisymmetric concrete structures with  no cracking. Temperature variations are limited to under 80 degrees  C.

The test case included in this package was run by NEA-DB on an IBM 3090 computer. Compile, link, and go required about 3 seconds of CPU time.

8. RELATED AND AUXILIARY PROGRAMS

CREEP80 can be incorporated into the general finite element code NONSAP developed at the University of California at Berkeley. CREEP80 uses routines from the proprietary International Mathematical and Statistical Library (IMSL) for matrix solution and error message printing; these routines are not included.
