3. DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM OR FUNCTION

FLOW-MODEL is    a     multi-
channel, two-dimensional, two-phase flow model designed to compute
the axial  and radial  coolant density  and quality  profiles, the
axial pressure  profile and  the weight  flow distribution  for an
open matrix flow, boiling water reactor.

4. METHOD OF SOLUTION

The    discontinuous   nodal    flow    model
approximation  leads   to  a  system  of   simultaneous  nonlinear
equations which are solved by iteration.

6. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME:  The sample problem requires 1 minute.

NEA-DB compiled, linked, and executed the test case included in this package on an IBM 3081 computer in 4 seconds of CPU time.
