3. DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM OR FUNCTION

INVENT is designed to facilitate the post-closure radiological assessment of land-based repositories for low and intermediate-level wastes. For those radio- nuclides identified to be of potential significance, it allows the calculation of time-dependent radionuclide activities, hazard indices for both inhalation and ingestion of activity, and photon spectra.
