SACHET evaluates the dynamic fission product inventories in the multiple compartment system of pressurized water reactor (PWR) plants.

4. METHOD OF SOLUTION

SACHET utilizes a matrix of fission product core inventory which is previously calculated by the ORIGEN code.

5. RESTRICTIONS ON THE COMPLEXITY OF THE PROBLEM

Liquid wastes such as chemical waste and detergent waste are not included.

NEA-DB ran the test cases included in this package on a DEC VAX 8810 computer in 240 seconds (case 1); 120 seconds (case 2).
