3. NATURE OF PHYSICAL PROBLEM SOLVED

This code analyzes alpha spectra  measured by solid-state detectors to extract information on the peak intensities and energies.

4. METHOD OF SOLUTION

The code performs peak search by the photopeak method, generates the line-shape function consisting of the first and/or second order and decomposes the peak compound by the function-minimizing fitting method using the line-shape function.

5. RESTRICTIONS ON THE COMPLEXITY OF THE PROBLEM

Up to 4100 channels are accepted. The total number of peaks should not exceed 50 and the maximum  multiplicity is 19.

The running time is less than 10 seconds for the case  of a spectrum with medium complexity.
