3. NATURE OF PHYSICAL PROBLEM SOLVED

It solves problems of reactor dynamics with consideration of the variable spatial distribution of fluxes and local temperature feed-back. The geometry is cylindrical with two dimensions, r and z.

4. METHOD OF SOLUTION

The time dependent diffusion equations with two  energy groups are solved with the finite difference approximation.
A direct method of solution for both groups is used along the radius and alternative iterations are made along the z dimension.

5. RESTRICTIONS ON THE COMPLEXITY OF THE PROBLEM

A maximum number of 400 lattice points may be used.
30 composition regions.
10 vertical zones, with independent control rods and different cooling channels with single phase coolant.
6 groups of delayed neutrons.

The initial equilibrium conditions are determined with the temperature feed-back.
