3. NATURE OF PHYSICAL PROBLEM SOLVED
EXPANDA-6 solves the one-dimensional diffusion equation in slab, cylinder or spherical geometry. It calculates effective cross sections, which will be used as the coefficients of the equation, from the library data of JAERI- Fast set with 25-group structure. The criticality adjustment can be done by the usual concentration search together with an optional search by changing concentration of PU02 in the PU02-U02 mixture.
4. METHOD OF SOLUTION
The central difference approximation is adopted for the differential coefficients. The three points difference equation is solved by the ordinary set of two points recurrence formulae.
