3. DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM OR FUNCTION

KINETIK performs detailed calculations of chemical reaction kinetics. It can be used to predict chemical reactions for the chosen kinetic mechanism. One could solve the separate task of chemical reactions or to use it as  a base for predicting concentrations of reacting fluid moving in some channel.

4. METHOD OF SOLUTION

The program applies the finite difference method with an iterative solution procedure.

5. RESTRICTIONS ON THE COMPLEXITY OF THE PROBLEM

The program was tested with a maximum of 51 elements and with a system of 238 kinetics equations.

6. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME:  < 1 sec. with 586 processor.

7. UNUSUAL FEATURES OF THE PROGRAM

The code includes automatic programming of kinetical equations to write source terms for other applications. KINETIK uses advanced menu-driven pre- and post-processors with graphics support.
