3. DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM OR FUNCTION

MTR_PC is a modular program system which performs neutronics, thermohydraulic, and shielding calculations for MTR-type reactors. The system offers the following  possibilities:
- Steady-state neutronic and thermohydraulic studies;
- Time and burnup dependent calculations;
- Perturbation calculations (kinetic parameters);
- Fuel management;
- Control rod positioning calculations
- Transient calculations;
- Accident analysis;
- Isotope production and decay chain calculations;
- Shielding calculations for neutrons and gamma radiation.
