3. DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM OR FUNCTION

An interface program between the NJOY code and codes using multigroup cross sections. In its present version, the program converts the library generated by the module GROUPR of the NJOY code into ENDF/B-V format and EXPANDA, PFCOND and COMPAR input formats. This conversion depends on the variable JCODE provided in input data.

6. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME

The running time greatly depends on the problem involved. The following table shows the running times for four selected problems (input tape = TAPE5), which are provided with the program as sample problems:

Note: RGTRANS is an auxiliary program written for the CDC CYBER 170/750.

NEA-DB ran the 4 test cases included in this package on a CDC CYBER 830 computer. CPU times varied from 19 to 98 seconds.

8. RELATED AND AUXILIARY PROGRAMS

The auxiliary program, RGTRANS, may be used to transform the library (TAPE8) produced for the code EXPANDA (when JCODE=1), from binary to formatted mode. This may help to check the data if necessary.
