3. DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM OR FUNCTION

Calculates various neutron- induced compound reaction cross sections, such as (n,gamma), (n,f),  coumpound elastic scattering cross section, (n,n') compound nucleus  formation cross section, excitation curves for all discrete levels and outgoing neutron spectra.
Input involves optical model parameters, fission and radiative capture parameters and others.

4. METHOD OF SOLUTION:  Gaussian integration with 12-points is used.

5. RESTRICTIONS ON THE COMPLEXITY OF THE PROBLEM

  1. The maximum number of incident energy points is 60.
  2. The number of outgoing energy points for spectra is 14
     (12 Gaussian integration points plus starting and end points).
  3. The maximum number of discrete levels is 30.
  4. Energy range of incident neutrons is 0.001 - 5 MeV (but for
     even target nuclei the results at above 3 MeV incident energy
     are not good).

6. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME

About one hour for 241Am with 54 energy points from .001 MeV to 3.0 MeV.
IAEA0902/01
NEA-DB ran the test case included in this package on a  VAX-11/780 computer in 15 seconds of CPU time.

7. UNUSUAL FEATURES OF THE PROGRAM

  1. The level width fluctuation correction is taken into account
2. The level density parameter at the saddle point for the fission   channel can be adjusted as a function of excitation energies      for the compound nucleus.
