3. DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM OR FUNCTION

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

FORMAT: for use with RSIC code package PSR-164/TPASS.

  NUMBER OF GROUPS: --

  NUCLIDES: 1438 radionuclides

ORIGIN: Recently-published results and also from Nuclear Data Sheets and Atomic Data and Nuclear Data Tables

  WEIGHTING SPECTRUM: --

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
The TPASGAM data library contains gamma-ray decay information for 1438 radionuclides. The data consist of gamma-ray energies and intensities as well as cross section information useful in activation analysis.
This compilation of radionuclide decay data contains, for those radionuclides tabulated, all necessary data for qualitatively and quantitatively measuring the concentration of photon emitting radionuclides as well as conducting activation analyses using gamma-ray spectrometry. It was developed specifically for use with RSIC code package PSR-164/TPASS.

6. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME

Several changes to the data file can be made  running FIXISO in less than 15 CPU seconds. DECAYDAT runs in less than 3 CPU seconds. NUCLIDE ID is interactive.
DLC-0088/03
Tests were performed at the NEA-DB in three different computers:
    1) DEC VAX 6000/510 (running OpenVMS 6.0-1)
    2) DEC 3000 Model 300X - Alpha AXP Architecture WS
       (running DEC OSF/1 V2.1)
    3) PC Brett - Pentium processor , 75 MHz (running MS-DOS 6.2)
Only a few seconds of elapsed time are required to run any of the auxiliary programs (described below) in any of the three computers used on the tests performed at the NEA-DB.
CPU times for execution on the VAX 6000/510 under OpenMS 6.0-1:
The program DECAYDAT runs on the input gamma library file F01 in 6.4 CPU seconds. The program TPASLIST lists the whole gamma library file F03 in 12.4 CPU seconds.

8. RELATED AND AUXILIARY PROGRAMS

The data reported in DLC-19/DECAYGAM were the parent data for this library. Additions and changes have been primarily for fission product radionuclides and for heavy actinides. Other changes include determining the absolute  normalization for most of the relative branching ratios given in the parent file.
DLC-0088/03
FIXISO              Update gamma-ray data file order by nuclide no
DECAYDAT            Read and list gamma-ray data file by nuclide no
NUCLIDE ID          Display data for one nuclide or list nuclides
which emit gamma rays in a narrow enery range
TRASLIST            Read and list data file ordered by energy

11. MACHINE REQUIREMENTS:
DLC-0088/03
On the VAX 6000/510 platform under OpenVMS 6.0-1, the peak working set size to run the program DECAYDAT on the input gamma library F01 is 383 Kbyte and the peak working set size to run the program TPASLIST and list all the nuclides in the input gamma library file F03 is 380 Kbyte. - On the PC-Brett Pentium processor 75 MHz, under MS-DOS 6.2, the filesize of the two executables created is 234 Kbyte (executable created using the Lahey compiler and using the option to include the stubloader into the executable)  and 30 Kbyte (executable created using the Microsoft compiler).
