The library may be used with POPOP-4 to prepare neutron to gamma- ray group transfer matrices. These can then be merged with multigroup neutron cross section sets (from GAM-2, XSDRN, SUPERTOG, etc.) and multigroup gamma-ray cross section sets (from MUG, GAMLEG, etc.) to give a cross section set which can be used for coupled neutron and secondary gamma-ray calculations in multigroup transport codes such as ANISN, DOT, DTF-4, and MORSE.
Data in the library is either
(1) the intensities of secondary gamma rays resulting from neutron- nucleus interactions (yields), or
(2) the secondary gamma-ray production cross sections for neutron- nucleus interactions (cross sections).
The initial library contains data for H, D, Li, Be, 10-B, C, N, O, F, Na, Mg, Al, Si, P, S, Cl, K, Ca, Ti, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Zr, Nb, Mo, Cd, Ba, Eu, Gd, Ta, W, Hg, Pb, 235-U, 238-U, and Np. Some reactions for which data appear are radiative capture, fission, inelastic scattering (n,alpha), and (n,p). For many nuclides there are several data sets for a particular reaction.
