NUMBER OF GROUPS: Point Cross Sections, energies 1 keV to 100 MeV.

 

NUCLIDES: Z = 1-83, 86, 90, 92 and 94.

The data are for use in general purpose gamma-ray transport codes. The Lawrence Livermore Laboratory has a continuing program to evaluate photon cross section.

 

The data are given in units of (barns/atom) for energies 1 keV to 100 MeV and for elements Z = 1-83, 86, 90, 92 and 94. The MAT numbers are equal to the atomic numbers (Z).

6. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME

To compile EDIT-23 and edit the entire library requires 1.5 minutes on the IBM 360/65.
NEA-DB executed the test case of EDIT-23 on IBM 3081 in 5 seconds.

In the latest version DLC-7D, dated April 1971, the pair production total cross sections at 4 MeV have been changed for all elements, the incoherent scatter and total at 0.8 MeV have been changed for 8 elements.
