Outline of Reactor and Post Irradiation Examination

Tsuruga-1 is BWR in Japan. Its fuel assembly is type of 7 by 7. The PIE was conducted for the fuel samples from fuel assemblies JAB-73 and JAB-7, and burnup rate and isotpic composition rate were measured. The measurement was carried out in the laboratory of Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute. The averaged burnup of the assemblies was 22 GWd/t. The position of the assemblies was shown in the following figure.
