Call for Extended Abstracts

The 2013 Safety Case Symposium provides a forum for all work of both breadth and depth in the area of developing safety cases for geological disposal of radioactive waste.  The event will feature up to 7 plenary talks by keynote speakers.  In addition, the symposium invites papers (in extended abstracts format) on both technical and social aspects of enhancing safety in safety case development.  Click here to view the call for extended abstracts poster. Guidelines for Extended Abstract

Extended abstracts should be about 3-7 pages in length.  Endnotes and bibliographic citations should be clearly included.  Click here for instructions.

Evaluation Criteria, Deadlines and Contact Information

All submissions will be evaluated on originality and importance of topic; clarity of study purpose; use of original and primary sources and how they support the study's purpose and conclusions; writing quality and organisation; and the degree to which the abstract contributes to enhancing the state-of-the-art in the development of a safety case. The programme committee might provide feedback and advice to the authors in order to efficiently addressing the topics of the symposium.

The deadline for submission of abstracts is 1 March, 2013. However, for early notification, you are encouraged to submit at your earliest convenience.
