Workshop participation

As usual for OECD/NEA workshops, participation is open to experts from regulatory authorities and their technical support organisations, research organisations, nuclear power plant (NPP) owners and operators, NPP designers and vendors, and industry associations and observers from OECD/NEA member countries. Nominations should be made through the NEA Secretariat of the Working Group on Integrity of Components and Structures (IAGE). Those wishing to make a presentation at the workshop should submit an abstract with their preliminary registration form.

The meeting is open to a small number of experts from non-member countries. The participation of these experts will be co-ordinated by the NEA Secretariat.

Countries and organisations participating in the IAEA EBP are advised that following the workshop, a meeting of the Working Group Area 1 on the Re-assessment of Seismic Hazards will take place (10-11 April 2008). A separate IAEA official invitation for this meeting will be issued.

Registration

Participants should complete the registration form by 14 March 2008.

Workshop fee

The registration fee is €330, which will cover all the logistics, cofee breaks, lunches and the Tuesday evening tour and dinner in Beaujolais. The participants are responsible for their own travel and living expenses. The registration fee is preferable to be paid in advance, details for the workshop registration payment are provide here.

The Organising Committee will confirm the acceptance of workshop registration.

Location and accommodation

The workshop will be held in the Lyon Congress Centre, part of the Cité Internationale between the Rhône and the Parc de la Tête d'Or, Lyon, France and organised by Electricité de France. Details of the workshop venue and accomodation are provided here.

Language

All presentations and discussions will be in English; a good command of the English language will therefore be necessary to fully benefit from the workshop.

Papers

Participants wishing to present papers shall submit an abstract (between 200 and 400 words). All abstracts should be submitted by 15 January 2008 using the registration form. (Note: All submitted abstracts and papers should be submitted electronically in MS Word and "times 11" font ).

The Organising Committee will review the submitted abstracts, and authors will be notified by 8 February 2008. Specific instructions for the format of papers will be provided to authors. Presentations should not exceed 20 minutes.

Workshop proceedings

The workshop proceedings will be published, including papers from the opening session, conclusions and recommendations from the discussion groups, a summary of all panel discussions and information papers submitted by workshop participants.

Organising Committee

The Organising Committee will organise the sessions and the final programme for the workshop.
