The main mission of this working group is to advance the current understanding of the physical processes and address the safety issues associated with the following areas:
Reactor coolant system thermal-hydraulics and related safety and auxiliary systems;
Both current and advanced reactors are considered.
Phenomena-based validation matrix for ex-vessel (containment) models and codes (Containment-CVM)
Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in nuclear reactor safety (NRS)
