Recognising the growing and widespread use of CFD in many branches of engineering, a CNSI action plan was drawn up in 2001 which resulted in the creation of three writing groups (WGs) with mandates to perform the following tasks:
NEA/CSNI/R(2007)5 - Best Practice Guidelines for the use of CFD in Nuclear Reactor Safety Applications
NEA/CSNI/R(2007)13 - Assessment of CFD for Nuclear Reactor Safety Problems
NEA/CSNI/R(2010)2 - Extension of CFD Codes Application to Two-Phase Flow Safety Problems - Phase 2
NEA/CSNI/R(2011)14 - Proceedings of the CFD for Nuclear Reactor Safety Applications (CF4NRS-3) Workshop
CFD4NRS - "Benchmarking of CFD Codes for Applications to Nuclear Reactor Safety"
5-7 September 2006, Garching, Munich, Germany
XCDF4NRS - "Experiments and CFD Code Applications to Nuclear Reactor Safety"
10-12 September 2008, Grenoble, France
CFD4NRS-3 - "Experimental Validation and Application of CFD and CMFD
Codes to Nuclear Reactor Safety Issues"
14-16 September 2010, Washington, DC, USA
CFD4NRS-4 - "Experimental Validation and Application of CFD and CMFD Codes in Nuclear Reactor Technology"
10-12 September 2012, Daejeon, Korea - annoucement
