VVER Working Group (VVERWG)

The MDEP VVER Working Group (VVERWG) was approved by MDEP Policy Group in September 2013. The group's work is focused on the safety reviews of Rosatom's VVER reactors.

The VVERWG reports the status of its activities three times a year at the MDEP Steering Technical Committee (STC) meetings.

Key stakeholders with whom the VVERWG interacts routinely include Rosatom and utilities pursuing licensing and construction of the VVER, such as Akkuyu Power Company in Turkey.
